Hey there, fellow tech explorers!
Ever seen those “powerful websites you should know” videos? I’m totally into that vibe. Over time, I’ve been collecting some seriously cool and useful websites. In this post, I’m laying out all my faves—and I’m even marking the ones I actually use with a star (★). I’ve done my best to keep things organized so you can find what you need without the chaos.
Fonts
★ Google Fonts Helper
We all know Google Fonts, right? I even use them on this crappy blog sometimes. But when you need to self-host those fonts, the Google Fonts Helper is a lifesaver. Search for your fonts just like on Google Fonts and download them along with the CSS code. Just make sure those paths are correct, or nothing works!
GitHub link
fontshare
This is a super cool font library to explore! You’ll always find something unique here—perfect if you’re tired of everyone else using the same old Google Fonts.
uncut.wtf
CDNs
cdnjs.com
A reliable CDN to get your libraries and assets loaded fast.
cloudflare
Another heavyweight in the CDN world to help speed things up.
Cloud Computing
★ Hetzner
Great support, super affordable pricing, and easy scaling. They even offer domains, firewalls, web hosting—basically everything you need. I can absolutely recommend it! Plus, using this link gives you a €20 starter credit.
ionos.com (Germany: ionos.de)
A solid option if you’re based in or targeting Germany.
Social Media Platforms
Mastodon / Fediverse
Love the idea of no central server? With Mastodon, everyone can run their own server. Total freedom!
Bluesky
Think of it as Twitter—but without the typical jerk vibes.
Winston (or Artemis)
A reddit client that looks really slick. I haven’t tried it yet, but it’s definitely on my radar.
yewtu.be
A neat alternative to YouTube for when you’re looking to skip the usual.
scripe.rip
Your go-to alternative for Medium blogs.

snapsome.pics
A browser-based photobooth that’s just plain fun!

The Nature of Code
A must-read for creative coders! This book breaks down complex topics—like physics simulations, flocking, neural networks, and more—in a playful, accessible way. Perfect for beginners and seasoned programmers alike. (All examples use p5.js.)
Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can’t Stop Talking
Ever wondered about the perks of being an introvert? Susan Cain shows how introverts—who quietly innovate and contribute—are massively underrated. If you’ve ever felt different or out of place, this book is a game changer.
Blackout - Morgen ist es zu spät german
A thrilling page-turner that kept me hooked. Set during a massive blackout in Europe, it’s a stark reminder of how fragile our society can be—and how quickly things can go south.
Fahrenheit 451
An absolute classic. I got forced to read it in school, but it’s fascinating to see the dystopian parallels with our current world of endless social media and doomscrolling.
